Program Information

OVERVIEW

In part, it is the Mission of Sporting Oklahoma to develop and prepare youth players of all ages and abilities for the next level of competition through progressive programming and age-appropriate training designed to help each player reach their full potential. For select players, the next level may include playing collegiately in the NCAA, NAIA or NJCAA. To assist these select players, Sporting Oklahoma has developed a College Placement Program intended to educate players and parents about the college recruitment process and provide them with the resources and guidance necessary to maximize the number of potential opportunities players may have to play collegiately.

AREAS OF EMPHASIS

Guidance

Every player has unique opportunities both athletically and academically. Our College Placement Program Staff has experience in collegiate coaching and recruiting efforts, and is knowledgeable about the rules, regulations, and restrictions of the NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA. This knowledge allows our staff to assist our players in navigating the recruitment process, which is directed largely by the player. As part of this program, players will be provided with year-by-year action plans to assist in mapping out a pathway through the placement process. 

Education

Sporting Oklahoma College Placement Program staff will provide our players and families with up-to-date timelines related to collegiate recruiting processes, as well as applicable eligibility and recruiting requirements. 

Resources

Players will be provided access to both on-field and off-field resources through our network of relationships with college coaches, as well as our partnerships with STATSports, ProScore, Veo and NCSA College Recruiting. Players will be provided access to collegiate training sessions and the opportunity for added exposure through on-field sessions led by college coaches.
